Give your child a great start
We have lots of tricks up our sleeves for making children feel settled during dental visits and they are most welcome to have a ride in the big chair and choose a sticker. Parents can have one too if they behave – who doesn’t love a sticker?!
We encourage our patients to bring their children with them to their dental and hygiene appointments from birth. That way they grow up being happy and comfortable in a dental practice and dental surgery setting.
It distresses us when we read reports about children needing to have their teeth filled, or worse, extracted. It’s the same when we hear people say, ‘it’s only a milk tooth, it doesn’t matter’.
In almost all cases, dental decay is completely avoidable. Give your child the best start possible by teaching them how to look after their teeth properly and bringing them to the dentist when they are as young as possible.
Free care for under 18’s
We feel so passionately about the care we offer to our younger patients that we provide free dental health examinations for all children until they reach 18, when a parent is an active, regular patient. So that’s one less bill to worry about!
Our genuinely friendly welcome will help soothe and relax children and we offer very low cost treatment, should they need it. Please rest assured that the young patients in our care grow up with far less decay and fillings than the national average due to our meticulous dental and oral health treatments.
Dedicated treatments for children
We have a preventive approach towards children’s dentistry, which includes fluoride treatment, fissure sealants, oral hygiene guidance and dietary advice to help your child develop strong healthy teeth for life.
Fissure sealants protect the biting surface of their back teeth, which some children can find hard to keep clean. This forms a barrier that helps prevent decay.
Clear braces for teenagers
We also offer virtually invisible braces from Invisalign should they wish to straighten their teeth. This private treatment is ideal for self-conscious teenagers who do not want anyone to know they are wearing a brace.
Invisalign Teen clear aligners can be removed for eating, brushing and the occasional night out and because they don’t have any metal parts, they are much more comfortable than traditional ‘train tracks’. They also come with a blue dot indicator that helps parents check they are being worn as often as they should.
